Sid Wainer & Son’s talented farmers provide us with freshly harvested produce for our toppings. Our mission is to encourage happy and healthy lifestyles with affordable high-quality food. Yes, our menu is vegan and vegetarian friendly and gluten free.
Foodie Philanthropists is what we call ourselves. We are proud to say we will donate a portion of our profits to local organizations on Nantucket that focus on land and ocean conservation. Making a difference one bowl at a time.
Nantucket Poke is environmentally responsible. Not only is our fish sustainable but also all of our disposable products are eco-friendly. You won’t find plastic straws at our trailer.
Co-Founder / CEO
Devon is a second-generation Nantucketer growing up spending summers there and even living year round for a while. It has been a dream of his to open a business there. His other dream of working in TV/Film took him to New York and Los Angeles first where he has enjoyed a successful career. He would not let the miles keep him from visiting Nantucket every summer which kept that dream alive igniting the fire in him every time he visited. What would that business be though? It took meeting a caterer on a film set to help figure it out.
Co-Founder / Chef
Chef Rockwell grew up in Malibu, CA where her passion for food began at an early age. She worked for years in the restaurant industry as a chef including establishments such as Nobu where she picked up skills and knowledge of not only raw fish but also how to choose the finest ingredients and not be afraid of trying new things. After many years working for high-end restaurants in the Los Angeles area learning from some of the best in the business she opened her own catering company. In no time she became one of the best TV/Film Caterer and Private Chefs in LA. During this time she became Devon’s caterer for his film shoots. Chef Rockwell’s poke bowls were a hit on set so it wasn’t long until the idea of Nantucket Poke was born.
